Developing a life of praying, caring, and sharing

We believe in the power of prayer, the commandment to love one another, and the importance of sharing the Gospel with the world. Having a Prayer/Care/Share lifestyle means being in deep relationship with Christ, and then living out His mission and Spirit in our everyday lives.

Prayer and Intercession

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4). We are meant to be in prayer and conversation with the Lord, not only for our loved ones, but for our nation and government.

Love and Care for Others

“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:37-39). We are commanded to love others as Christ has loved us–with purpose, selflessness, sacrifice, and unconditional patience.

Sharing the News of Christ

“Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'” (Matthew 28:18-20). As followers of Jesus, we are missionaries anywhere we go, overseas or here in America. In word and deed, we are called to be “Jesus” to those we come in contact with. And, in God’s timing, we are called to share the gift of salvation with our community.
